Exploration of hidden places, the darker corners of the world. These locations all have a historical or contemporary association with death, macabre, catastrophe or tragedy. I believe that by aknowledging and exploring the darker sides of the past, we get a fuller picture of what defines humanity.

Manicomio di R is a former mental asylum, or "madhouse", in Italy. This medical relic closed in 1980's, when attitudes towards mental health care changed.
Lost Coffins, is also known as Coffin Factory. These old wicker coffins hide inside an abandoned furniture warehouse in Belgium.
The Cemetery of the Skull. The mouth is grotesquely agape in a centuries-long silent scream, resting on a pillow of crossed femur bones.
The Church of The Baron is a small Roman Catholic church in Romanian. The once impressive domed ceiling, is collapsing as the decades pass.
The Green Mile is a disused German prison. It was also used as a Nazi detention and torture centre during the Second World War.
Orange Morgue is an abandoned mortuary in Germany. Bodies were stored in the basement, and then prepared for final viewings in a room with orange and yellow tiled walls.
Red Morgue is an abandoned morgue/mortuary in Hungary. The slab is red marble, inside a green tiled room with several body fridges in an adjacent corridor.
Hospital and Morgue S was abandoned in the early 2010s. There are 1950s operating theatres, morgue, chapel, grand entrance hall and A&E departments.
On 26th April 1986 a steam explosion at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant sent radioactive plumes into the atmosphere, which had global consequences.

An abandoned Pripyat Middle School No. 3 which was abandoned during the 1986 Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster. Gas mask litter several rooms and halls.
The Palace of Culture Energetik is an abandoned "Palaces of Culture" in Pripyat; it is located nearby the Music School. Both were abandoned in 1986.
The Pripyat amusement park was due to open on 1st May 1986, but everything changed on 26th of April when the Chernobyl Nuclear Disaster occurred.
