Join me as I delve into the fascinating, and often overlooked, world of subminiature film photography. In this zine issue, I present two unique curated photography projects, shot on two 16mm film cameras. Explore Soviet-era ruins that linger on in Latvia and Lithuania, captured on a Cold War-era Kiev 30 “spy camera”. Then, experience the mosh pits and atmosphere of Download Festival 2024, through the lens of a pocket-sized 1990s Kiev 303. What is Obsidian’s Obscura?

Obsidian’s Obscura is a zine showcasing an eclectic range of images, highlights from my photographic adventures. Through these pages, I will explore and experiment with a new way to share my own unique view of the world. There will be a heavy focus on my film photography journey, as well as presenting themed portfolios and other standalone projects.

Obsidian’s Obscura is available as a limited-edition print run of large 21x21cm square format zines, numbered and signed editions of 40. A celebration of the ephemeral nature of this publication.
