Viva Lancia! This location is a simple one; a lost Lancia car in the garden of an abandoned house in Belgium. This was the final location of the day of The Panzer Tour (2017). As the sun rapidly set, we had only a short time to snap some photos. Knowing the adjacent abandoned house was trashed (and burnt), we elected to skip this. As a result, we made our way to the rear of the property, to explore the garden. This is the location where our prize would be waiting.
Interestingly, there are 15 cars on this property. Even more interesting, all the cars are Lancia (hence, Viva Lancia!). Due to the aforementioned limits on time, we did not have chance to explore more photographic subjects. A great pity!
This is a 1960s Lancia Flavia, an Italian design and built car. The Lancia Flavia launched in 1960, unveiled at the 1960 Turin Motor Show. Initially this early model was a four-door saloon with a 1500cc engine.
The Viva Lancia featured here, appears to be from the first revision. Subsequently, a two-door Lancia Flavia Coupé was released. Built between 1963 and 1968, these models had a 1800cc engine and a shorter overall length. Carrozzeria Pininfarina manufactured these versions at their Turin plant. The engine was fitted with a single carburettor and could generate 91 horsepower. Conversely, the Coupé Sport featured double carburettor and the engine output was upped to 104 horsepower.
The colour of Viva Lancia is white, called “Bianca” by the manufacturer. This model would be worth 35,000-40,000 Euro if it were in mint condition.
In March 2021, several people sent me some images. These images showed felled trees, and empty land. The location is now an empty lot. It is unknown what become of Viva Lancia, hopefully it found a new home. Perhaps one day she will ride again!
