Who doesn’t love fiery autumn leaves? Lately, I am thoroughly enjoying my random forays into the world of digital art. While on furlough it is nice to try new things. I feel that it offers me a chance to get a bit more creative, as well as grown my skills in Photoshop.
Today I decided to try my hand a shifting the seasons in one of my images. The choice of image was clear; it was time to dive into my collection of abandoned greenhouse photos. Chateau Rolls Royce, my favourite greenhouse, may have a little too much green however. I wanted something that would also give me some architecture, for the autumnal tones to play off.
I decided to use this abandoned conservatory/greenhouse from Italy, called Villa Scorpio. This indoor garden had a good mix of greenery and architecture. The rockery and spiral-armed water feature adds interesting foreground features. I visited Villa Scorpio in the summer of 2018, as part of a road trip around Italy.
